The Mulberry Tree
Some of the best cakes in Cheshire this week. The bacon rolls aren’t bad either.
The hard work is in the early part of the ride as we head for Moore and up Delph Lane. After this the route takes us via Lower Whitley and Cann Lane before descending from the lights at Broomedge and toward Dunham. The return is via Bowden, Ashley and Rostherne before the “old” A556 takes us back to Budworth Heath, Antrobus and a final sprint on the Arley drag!
It’s 45 miles and just under 1,600ft of ascent. ACTIVE: Dunham Barn
We meet at the Mulberry Tree, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AF at 08.20am and leave at 8:30AM prompt.
Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet. You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
