An new route to an old favourite.

Out via Burrows Hill and Hodge Lane before crossing the A49 and on to Nunsmere Hall via some of the less used (by us) roads in Delamere. A short stretch on the A49 then takes us past the Hollies and Oulton Park before arriving at Cotebrook where we continue west before turning right onto Willington Lane and a mile of steady climbing to the Café stop. Don’t linger too long over coffee as we only have a short warm up before another mile of steady climbing up Quarry Bank. Then its home via Delamere, Norley, Acton Bridge, Preston on the Hill, Daresbury and Hatton.

57miles and 2,500ft of ascent.

We typically average between 14mph and 16mph and we would like to ask riders to be respectful of this for your own safety and the safety of the group. Suitable for road bikes only.

You can view details of the route here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/40758188

Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet.  You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.

We meet at the Mulberry Tree, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AF and leave at 8:30AM prompt. Please aim to be at the meeting point by 08:20AM
Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet.  You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.

General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
