Out via Hatten, Lower Whitley and Frandley before making our way to Hatchmere via Acton Bridge and Norley Lane. Then it’s through Delamere and on to Kelsall before a gentle, but quick descent through Willington Corner to Boothsdale where we turn left and a final effort up to the Café.

On leaving the Café it’s a very quick descent; but not so quick you miss the left turn to Cotebrook and then home via Whitegate, Winnington, Comberbach, Gibb Hill and Arley Lane.

At just over 46miles and 2,100ft of ascent this is a classic Active route.

You can view details of the route here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31450096

The Active ride is paced between 14-16mph. We typically ride at around 15mph average and we would like to ask riders to be respectful of this for your own safety and the safety of the group. Suitable for road bikes only.

We meet at the Mulberry Tree, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AF. Please arrive by 08:20 for a prompt 08:30 start. Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet.  You need to carry a spare inner tube and/or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights. You should also bring enough to drink (minimum one full bottle) and snacks/gels etc appropriate for the length of the ride.

General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
