We head out via Arley, Tabley and towards Knutsford before heading south through the lanes to Lach Dennis and Davenham. We continue south for another mile or two to Mere Heath and Moulton then its half a mile of “gravel” before crossing the River Weaver and back onto the tarmac and into Whitegate village. Then its just Soot Hill and up to the café after 26miles.

The route home is through the lanes to The Hollies Farm Shop (take care turning right onto the main road). There is then half a mile on the busy Tarporley Road towards Nunsmere Hall then its into Delamere and through the lanes to Crowton, down Acton Lane and home via Marsh Lane and Stretton before hitting Appleton Thorn.

It’s just over 46miles with 1,750ft of ascent.

We typically average between 14mph and 16mph and we would like to ask riders to be respectful of this for your own safety and the safety of the group. Suitable for road bikes only.

You can view details of the route here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/38627610

Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet.  You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.

General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
