This week we’re taking the last opportunity before the Winter sets in for an away day.

We will be leaving Warrington at approx. 8 am for a meet at the Lancaster Park Ride, Just off J34 on the M6 Motorway for 9.00 am. https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/public-transport/park-and-ride/lancaster-park-and-ride/

From there the route winds North through the South Lakes Countryside East of the M6 before heading West across toward the Top of Kendal, before heading South again skirting the Silverdale Coastline before coming back through Carnforth.

The route is a hilly ride, but with nothing too savage along the way. Total feet of ascent for the day is 4940 ft

The club ride is at a fast pace covering anything from 45-100 miles depending on terrain. We typically ride at above 17mph average and we would like to ask riders to be respectful of this for your own safety and the safety of the group. Suitable for road bikes only.

You can view details of the route here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/36744638

We meet at the Mulberry Tree, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AF and leave at 8:30AM prompt. Please aim to be at the meeting point by 08:20AM
Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet.  You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.

General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
