Active – Hollies Farm Shop
Date(s) - 10/10/2021
8:30 am - 12:30 pm
The Mulberry Tree
It Ain’t Heavy it’s just a route to the Hollies Farm Shop out in Delamere, we can hob-nob with the polo set for a few minutes before they get their footmen to chase us away.
The route sets off up Broad Lane and then wends it’s way through Great Budworth, Northwich and round Sandiway to get to the cafe stop at 22.5 miles. Then on we press past Oulton Park and through, Cotebrook, Delamere, Norley and Acton Bridge back to the Mul.
The active ride is at a steady pace covering approximately 40-50 miles. We typically ride at around 15mph average and we would like to ask riders to be respectful of this for your own safety and the safety of the group. Suitable for road bikes only.
You can view details of the route here: The Hollies
We meet at the Mulberry Tree, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AF and leave at 8:30AM prompt.
Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet. You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
