A “Social” favourite!

Out through Thelwall Village and Lymm before heading up Burford Lane to the lights at Broomedge and on to High Legh. Then its through the lanes to Great Budworth and Comberbach and the final mile to two to the Boat Lift. Home is via Little Leigh, Marsh Lane, Preston on the Hill and Daresbury before heading into Hatton and “across the top” to Appleton Thorn.

34miles and just under 1,200ft of ascent helps explain why this is a popular route with our “Social” group/

You can view details of the route here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/35848548

We expect to average between 11mph and 14mph over the ride.

Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet.  You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.

General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
