Tried and tested……probably one of the more challenging (and satisfying) Social routes; it takes in the long drag from the Weaver in Frodsham to The Travellers Rest on the Kingsley Road. Then it is a rolling few miles to the Café Stop. Heading home we start with the drag up via Hatchmere to the Kingsley Road but efforts are quickly  rewarded with the long and steady descent to Acton Bridge via Kingsley and Crowton ending with a quick drop down Acton Lane. Then its up Willow Lane and home via Frandley, Antrobus and Arley Lane.

38miles and 1,500ft of ascent has made this a Social “classic”.

Average speed on a Social ride is typically between 12mph and 14mph.

Details of the route can be viewed here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/12985322

Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet.  You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.

General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
