An rare foray north for the Social. We head east towards Tatton before swinging back west toward the aptly named West Lane. A fast descent from the lights at Broomedge to the (now defunct) Green Dragon follows before we head over the Warburton toll bridge and on to Culcheth where we stop for coffee. A brief tour of Croft follows coffee and we then head back into Stockton Heath via Locking Stumps, Padgate, Latchford and the Cantilever.

It’s just under 33miles with less than 1,000ft of ascent.

We expect to average between 11mph and 14mph over the ride.

SOCIAL: Partridge Lakes & Tour de Croft

Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet.  You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.

General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
